Preventive Treatment

Picture
Trees are an asset to your property and you've invested in maintaining their health and appearance. Trees are also proven to increase the vitality of humans around them.

Trees of the urban forest are exposed to a number of stressors that can leave them susceptible to fatal attack. Treatment is a proactive step to preventing the loss or decline of your canopy to insects or disease.

Our approach uses state of the art technology to administer an environmentally safe injection, that is completely contained and protects your tree for one to two years.

Inner Tree can help you receive the most from your tree, by offering a detailed health assessment with each visit and a treatment plan that fits your tree's needs specifically.

My trees look healthy, why should I treat them for insects or disease?

Some of these insects and diseases are non-native and target healthy native trees.
In this instance, preventive treatment is your only option.

Some of these insects are native and target stressed trees.
A tree can appear healthy long after it loses the ability to protect itself from attack.

Trees utilize water to mount their defenses from attack. With years of drought on record and drastic temperature swings coming in and out of winter, our trees are stressed. As a result, we're seeing a rise in fatal insects and disease across the Rocky Mountain region.

Stressed and unprotected trees, result in larger populations of fatal insects and disease. And all of this results in tree loss!

As with most living things, the best treatments are preventative treatments. Treating your trees when they are still healthy, means they’ll stay healthy and beautiful for years to come!

Why is injecting a better option than traditional spray?

In humans and animals, an injection is the fastest mode of delivery. The same is true for trees!
Trunk injection is a superior alternative to spray or soil applications for insect control.

Injections go directly into the trunk where it is immediately taken up by the vascular system and distributed throughout the entire tree, every time.
Studies show that spray applications do not result in full coverage and therefore, do not provide full protection.

Spray applications also have the tendency to drift in the lightest breeze, impacting beneficial insects and neighboring properties.

Trunk injections are completely contained from the moment of delivery. For this reason, trunk injections are environmentally safe and pet friendly!

With over 20 years of research and development, trunk injection is proven to be 99% effective in prevention!

How much does treatment cost?

Treatment costs are based on the size of the tree. The size of the tree determines how much product is administered. The cost of treating a tree is much less than the cost of pruning or removing damaged trees from your property. Tree retention is also about preserving your property’s value.

Injection allows an Arborist to fine tune the combinations and ingredients needed to treat each particular tree. Precision, means injection is a very cost-effective method with a higher success rate than any other method. Feel free to contact us for an estimate!

How long does an injection protect a tree?

By way of a pressurized trunk injection, our treatment provides two years of protection with a success rate of 99%!

Is it safe for my pets and wildlife?

Unlike spray or soil applications, our system injects directly into the tree, eliminating any impact to your family and the environment around you.

Injection, is entirely safe for your pets, the environment, and any wildlife visiting or nesting in your tree!

When is the best time to treat trees?

Trees should be treated during their normal growing season while they are pulling water through their vascular system.

Spring through fall, is the ideal time period for treatment!
